This peak is #61 in Prominence List for British Columbia .The Whitmore party recorded a stone structure "not large enough to lie down in" on the summit and conjectured fancifully that it had been constructed as a pulpit to aid in sacrifices of virgin maidens hurled down the north face to propitate the weather gods. It was more likely constructed during a vision quest as there is no record of alpine sacrifice in the anthropological literature.
