On the continental divide, 2km SSE of Barbette Mountain; 3 km NW of Caldron Lake.

Name Notes: The origin of the name, given in 1901, is disputed. Most sources state that the name is Stoney for "grizzly bear." (The Mistaya River had originally been called Bear Creek. The name was changed to avoid duplication.) One source says that the name is Stoney for "much wind."
