Mount Inflexible is located west of the Kananaskis River, east of James Walker Creek, and north of the headwaters of Kent Creek. It forms the northwest end of a long ridge which extends southeast almost all of the way to the Lower Kananaskis Lake. It can be scrambled from the ridge top on the Mount Lawson scramble route, and Rick Collier has ascended the peak from the deep basin between Inflexible and Lawson. The mountain has an impressive east ridge which was attempted by Rick Collier, but remains unclimbed due to poor quality rock. For more information on ascending this peak consult Alan Kane's Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies guidebook or Rick Colliers trip report Traverse of the Inflexible-Lawson Ridge.
Name Notes: It was named in 1917 after the HMS Inflexible, a battle cruiser in the Royal Navy during World War I which was involved in both the Battle of the Falkland Islands and the Battle of Jutland.
