Name Notes: Zeballos Mountain adopted in 1934, later changed to Zeballow Peak in 1982, after Lt. Ciraco Cevallos. (note the spelling change).
Cevallos was an officer of Captain Allessandro Malaspina, Malaspina's expedition to the west coast. Malaspina sailed from Spain in 1791, looking for the Northwest passage. There is a huge glacier named after him in Alaska. On his return down the coast from Alaska he spent a month at Nootka Sound.
