In all probability it was first climbed by W.R. Kent, W.W. Urquhart and Einar Anderson sometime in 1913/14 while they also worked surveying and photographing Strathcona Park. Of modest height (1,710 metres)

Name Notes: This peak was named in 1923 after William Fowler DeVoe, BCLS, who was a member of the survey party in Strathcona Park in 1913 and was drowned in Campbell River while working that year. Devoe also climbed and named the nearby nearby Mount Judson, and Heber after members of his family.
