Located east of Cathedral Park and due south of Keremeos, about 5 km north of the US border. A trail leads to its summit. The eastern flank drops 2000 m to the Similkameen Valley, making this the easternmost summit of the Cascades.
Snowy Mountain is a long day or two day trip from road end. It can be seen from the south Okanagan and Anarchist Summit on Hwy 3., rising about 2000m above the Okanagan Valley on the west side south of Oliver and just north of the border.
Snowy is the centerpiece of the new Snowy Mountain Provincial Park which adjoins Cathedral Park.
The mountain itself has a long north ridge, with a subpeak Snowy N2 almost as high as Snowy. It also has a long southwest ridge with several subpeaks.
