This peak is #26 on the Height List for Colorado . This peak is #55 in Prominence List for Colorado .Maroon Peak is a jagged massif in central Colorado. The massif is known as Maroon Bells because of its twin summits. It's one the most challenging high peaks in Colorado. The standard approach is via a trail from the Maroon Lake campground to the north. The summit route is an exposed scramble on loose rock.
