MacDonald Peak from the East -- Winter
Located west of Chilliwack Lake. The summit is a rock scamble from the MacDonald-Webb col, which is at the end of the Radium Lake trail. Also a fairly easy ascent from the highest spur on Centre Creek road system (the latter ascent requiring cross country travel and bush but minimal technical difficulty).

The lower "south peak" is found just under 1km south of MacDonald, immediately north of the col with Lindeman. It is undistinguished from most sides save the east where a prominent rock buttress is found.

1. North ridge or NW flank Class 2-3. From Radium Lake either climb directly towards summit up NW flank, or go to Webb-MacDonald col then up MacDonald's N ridge. Either route provides easy scrambling.
2. West and south slopes Class 2-3. From Centre Creek road, either climb directly from highest road to treeline and up Webb's W ridge, or climb to Lindeman-MacDonald col, and up MacDonald's south ridge. Either route provides easy scrambling on good rock mixed with heathery ledges.
3. East ridge (s) (1984) K. Haberl, A. Ourom. II/III 5.4 to 5.6 depending on line chosen. The east ridge of the main peak is about 5 pitches and is a vaguely popular club trip for introducing new leaders to alpine rock. The east ridge of the S peak provides a slightly longer outing (about 7 pitches). Both routes were first climbed by the same party on the same trip. Equipment: modest rock rack
