Name Notes: Named for Proctor Burwash, who travelled with A. P. Coleman to this area in 1902, on the first attempt of Mount Brazeau. (Page 126, The Canadian Rockies - Old and New Trails). After attempting Mount Brazeau, they turned back at 10,600'. Their return route was over Cataract Pass.
