South Summit of Stoyoma Mountain from North Summit
A gentle summit west of Spius Creek. The summit is a walk.

1. Access To Stoyoma Mountain Area The typical camping spot is the forest service site at Cabin Lake. From Merritt, drive northwest on Highway 8, thru Nicola, to Canford. Just past Canford you pass the confluence of Spius Creek with Nicola R, and just beyond that is a turnoff onto what Bivouac calls the [Roadx6946-Prospect Creek FSR]. (Google labels the starting road as Petit Creek Road. After 1 km, there is a fork, and beyond this Google alternates the names Spius Creek road, and Petit creek, then finally Prospect Creek Road. (See Gmap). Eventually as you get close to Stoyoma, turn off at a reverse fork at Jct 77 (49.9724,-121.1741). This is the cabin creek spur. The final part of this road may require 4WD, see bulletins.
2. South Slopes Drive (4x4) or walk to Cabin Lake (small BC Forest Recreation site) from Prospect/Miner Creek Road then head northwards to gain the ridge and follow to the summit.
