This peak is #4 in Prominence List for Montana .Mount Cleveland is an impressive peak and the highest point in the Lewis Range in northwestern Montana, just south of the Canadian border. There are a few glacier remnants along its flanks. The northwest face is an imposing 1200-m wall. The normal approach is a multiday trip that involves a boat trip from Canada to the south end of Waterton Lake. From here a trail goes south to Kootenay Lakes. From the lakes, head east up Camp Creek and then scramble across scree and some rock bands to the mountain's south ridge. Follow the ridge to the summit.
