See True Location of Chipmunk Mountain
Note that on old 1:50000 maps, the name Chipmunk Mountain is mislabeled on a subpeak to the west. From the south, Chipmunk Mountain is at the E end of a long, screed ridge, somewhat reminiscent of the South Chilcotins in appearance. Chipmunk itself is a hornlike, rocky tower with a prominent E ridge that drops much lower than the screed ridge running west from the tower. The easiest way to the base of this rugged mountain is from the south via loose scree slopes or on skis. The tower from this approach is NTD.
