This peak is #32 in Prominence List for British Columbia .This is the highest peak between the Alskek and Tatshesnini rivers, and south of the pass between South Range Creek and Detour Creek. This surrounding terrain is inaccesible, massively glaciated, and rarely visited. Most climbers reach this area by rafting down the Tatshesnini River that runs east of the summit. From the river, a possible access route is along Detour Creek, across the pass to Range Creek, and then up South Range Creek. The north face is steep but the southeast slopes much more gentle.

Name Notes: Named after Detour Creek.
