Lake deep in the bowl north of Mount Albert Edward. The name refers to the fact the lake can change color during the summer, due to inflow from the fast disappearing glacier on the north side of Albert Edward. No doubt there are great views of the many waterfalls cascading down the cliffs to the south.

It drains north along Gem Creek, into Norm Creek.
