BC Rec Site. Located on the west side of Tyaughton Lake, just down from Tyaughton Lake road.

We drove in to check it out but wrote it off right away. Three open sites right beside each other, no view, not much for trees to tie a tarp too. I'd give it a miss.
2002.08.09 Cliff Jennings - Beware of Grizzlies Photos
I took a series of photos from our electric rowboat after my daughter spotted this bear at the campground. I purposely stayed in deep water & used the Olympus D40 full zoom (2.8 optical) hoping he couldn't swim faster. I believe this was Homer who became famous: [a href=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/grizzly-s-death-divides-b-c-community-1.1290992]Grizzly's death divides community[/a] We had a visit from Homer at our cabin which is the next turn after Friburg in 2011. We always let the dogs out at our gate as it's been a long drive from Whistler. Zoe took off using her "bear bark" & we couldn't get her to come. My camera then was a Nikon D5000 with a 55-200mm zoom so I took pictures from our cabin 100 meters away. Homer just ignored Zoe but we kept her in over the next few days, only out on a leash.
