One of the largest of the named lakes in the Albert Edward area of Strathcona Park, in a deep cirque east of Mount Albert Edward and north of Castlecrag Mountain. There is an island in the north part of the lake, which has a cabin on it and was grandfathered as private property into the park.

The lake forms the headwaters of the Cruickshank River.
