I read this article, and removed some of the less relevant stuff. It has a few new facts that I made note of:
1. It takes 5 times the signal strength to find a satelite than it does to read it again.
2. It is useful to raise the GPS as high as possible to get the signal. (Often I've held it at waist level, and this is a no-no.
