Cascade Range
Parent Area: Pacific Cordillera Range

Area: 158731 sq km. Location: From southern British Columbia to the California-Oregon border. Some definitions of the Cascade Range include Mt Lassen, which is part of the same geologic system as the other great Pacific Northwest Volcanoes which are a hallmark of the chain, but this description stops just north of there in the Shasta area. The boundary with the coastal Oregon ranges is indeterminate and has been set here as the line of towns and cities along I-5.
