Chikamin Range
Parent Area: Tahtsa Ranges

Area: 204 sq km. Location: Between Whitesail and Eutsuk Lakes, a small range between the Quanchus Range and the main strike of the Coast Range. Chikamin Mountain is the highest of the few summits in this range.

<P>Chikamin is the Chinook Jargon word for "metal" or "ore", and often simply means "money" (via "pil chikamin" - red metal, blood metal i.e. gold, although whether that's a reference to the colour or what it makes people do is up to debate).
