The Mud/Swartz lakes Forest Rec campsites are great staging grounds for forays into the prime mountain biking country of the South Chilcotin. One such trip leads west over the high ground down into Lone (Beaver) Valley and the great single track cow trail past Beaver range cabin and on to Prentice Lake where a cool swim is just the thing before heading back. <p>Another fine trip is to follow the old Empire Valley ranch road to Roaster Lake.
