Mount Hunter - Upper West Ridge

It has a reputation as a difficult and dangerous mountain to climb. Many summit attempts have led to failure or fatalities. The summit of Mount Hunter is covered by a glacier, but its flanks contain many rock faces and avalanche-prone gullies. The standard route is the long and complex west ridge.
