Mount H'kusam from Springer Peak
This peak is #97 in Prominence List for British Columbia . Hkusam Mountain is located on the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, just south of Johnstone Strait. It is about 10 km SE of Kelsey Bay. It is the highest summit in the area broken off by the Salmon River. This area is called the Prince of Wales Range. Technically, the P.o.W. range is more like the BC mainland than Vancouver Island. The depression corresponding to the Georgia Lowland passes inland through the Island.

Name Notes: Hkusam is pronounced "Koo sam" mountain.
